There’s something about Risoles that make me love it so much. Today I challenged myself to make some. ;p

Recipe for skin : 300 gr flour, 600 ml milk, 3 eggs, dash of salt and about a tablespoon of melted butter (or oil)

Recipe for Chicken Roux : Onion, shredded chicken, diced carrot (already steamed), milk, flour.

Method : Sautee Onion till fragrant. add shredded chicken and carrot, add salt, add milk, mix flour till desired consistency.

Tahu telor


1 package Tofu
3 Egg
Peanut sauce
Dark soya sauce (bango brand is the best!)
Corn flour

Dice tofu (or just mash it if you like). Coat lightly with corn flour. Fry tofu till golden brown. (i pan fry it, deep frying will yield better result) Put the golden brown tofu in a small plate first.
Whisk eggs. Combine with cooked tofu. Fry the mixture.

Serve with peanut sauce and dark soya sauce.

Beef burger


200-250gr beef
Bread crumbs (i use abt 6 pcs of jacobs cracker)
1 big red onion, diced
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 Tbsp olive oil
Oil for frying

Combine all ingredient with hands 🙂
Shape into patties.
Refrigerate for about 1 hour.
Pan Frying/grilling : Heat some oil on the pan. Cook under medium heat for about 3 minutes each.
Baking : line the burgers in non stick pan. Baked in preheated oven at 150c for about 10 mins.

Serve with buns, fries, and greeb salad.
Usually we have it served with homemade mayonnaise and tomato salad.

Make about 6-8 patties

Yum yum.. i have been Happy-Call-ed!!

1 cup glutinous rice flour
3/4 cup water (i use more water, abt a cup)
Ground peanut (i grind cashew nuts :p)
Some shallot oil (add fragrance)

Mix flour n water till form a paste.
Preheat happy call pan, grease with oil. Pour the paste. Cook under low heat for abt 3 mins (i opened since 2 mins and mix with spatula).

Cut and mix with peanut and sugar mixture.

Breakfast Muffin

Yummy.. not as oily as the last one.. 🙂 i think will stick to this recipe, as it is simple & not using eggs at all & not too sweet, with nice almond smell (that Q cannot smell! ~ he said must add more almond). Yay. It looks like cupcake.. :p


100 gr self raising flour

150 gr wholemeal flour

60 gr almond flour

80 gr sugar

200 ml milk

2 teaspoon baking powder

60 ml extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix all the flour + sugar. Mix milk, baking powder, olive oil, vanilla, and add to the flour mixture bit by bit. Add fillings.

Bake at 150C for 10 mins.

Make 12 small muffins or 6 large ones
